Today was a really busy day. I forgot that I was meant to start work early, and ended up rushing around like a whirlwind so I was showered and out the door in 20 minutes.
D kindly made me some small chicken bread rolls for lunch. I ended up eating them for breakfast around 9am. One of the chefs at work had boiled an egg for me as she knew I hadn’t eaten, so I had that for a snack around 11am.
I had lots of errands to run at lunchtime, so I picked up some sushi to eat at my desk later. While I was doing my errands, I noticed that I wasn’t actually all that hungry. Maybe it was the protein in the rolls or the egg? I’m hoping it’s my appetite control starting to kick in. I noticed last night that I didn’t feel hungry after dinner. In fact, I was still feeling rather full.
This afternoon I didn’t start to feel hungry until around 5:30pm. We sat down to dinner at 7pm – which is getting a bit late for me – and I wasn’t feeling totally ravenous. Hmm. An interesting development. Stay tuned to see if this continues.
D noticed that he’s been headachey and feeling quite hungry the past couple of days, which he thinks is due to the sugar he consumed while he was away. It’s made him a bit more determined to be fructose-free as much as possible.
Tomorrow is my father-in-law’s birthday, so I’ve just finished making him a cake (yes, it has evil sugar in it). I love baking and have only made scones since going fructose-free. It was really strange not to lick the cake batter off the spatula! But it wasn’t hard to resist doing it either. I settled for a nice cup of herbal tea instead.
